About
Sleeping Dogs is a third-person open-world action-adventure game set in contemporary Hong Kong. Players control Wei Shen, an undercover police officer who infiltrates a Triad organization called the Sun On Yee. Gameplay emphasizes melee combat using martial arts moves, grapples, and environmental attacks over gunplay, alongside driving, parkour, and open-world exploration. The game features a triple experience system split between Triad, Police, and Face progression paths, each unlocking different abilities and rewards.

(3)Probably one of the most enthralling stories in a game, extremely well-written in a way that feels fresh even on subsequent plays. Great voice cast and acting that makes the cinematics and dialogue feel theatrical. Calling Sleeping Dogs a “GTA clone” always felt like a disservice, and dare I say it feels even more refined and fun to play through. I’ll always love Sleeping Dogs, and I still wonder about that sequel that was planned and canceled. Despite many awards during its time, it really feels like Sleeping Dogs is slowly getting forgotten and becoming a cult classic where the people who have played it, really love it. I still really love it and revisit it, and it’ll never get old.
